Real Estate tip: Maintenance fall to do’s

Oct. 21. 2021

It’s fall y’all and that means it’s time to get a few home maintenance tasks checked off the list. This time of year is great to focus on the outside of the home.

With the weather cooling down the yard is in a prime spot to be fertilized and gain strength. Tree’s are best trimmed during these months and help to protect the roof and other parts of the home from falling branches. When you are putting up holiday lights take some extra time to inspect the roof and gutters.

Preventive maintenance is much less expensive than post problem projects. I like to have my HVAC checked this time of year and flushed to make sure that it is functioning in peak condition.

Don’t forget to check fire alarms, carbon monoxide detectors, and fire extinguishers. Always better to be safe than sorry. Now bring on a cold front so I can let my AC rest!
